About
About Simbeing
An independent, source-linked record of every humanoid robot: what exists, what it costs, who builds it and who uses it. Terms of use are at the bottom of this page.
Independence
- Makers cannot pay to be listed, ranked or described differently. Every robot that meets the inclusion rule is listed.
- Rankings use published figures only and the same rules for every robot.
- Photos and logos only identify robots and makers. Nothing here is an endorsement.
How the site is paid for
- Today, Simbeing earns nothing: no ads, no affiliate links, no paid listings.
- “Where to buy” links go to makers’ own pages and earn us nothing. If an affiliate link is ever added, it will be labelled on the link itself.
- Planned: a free monthly newsletter, clearly labelled sponsorships and ads, and paid research reports. Sponsors and advertisers will never affect listings, rankings or wording.
Photos and logos
- Photos come from Wikimedia Commons and other sources under free licences, or are official images from each maker's own website or press kit. Each one is credited and links to where it came from. Where a maker doesn't allow reuse, we show its official video instead, through YouTube's own player.
- To line robots up the same way, free-licence photos may have their background removed; the credit says so and the photo keeps its original licence. Official maker images are never edited: those already shot on a plain background are only scaled and positioned.
- Images are shown only to identify each robot. They belong to their owners, and showing them is not an endorsement.
- Makers and photographers can ask us to replace or remove an image at any time. We act on requests promptly.
Privacy
- No cookies and no advertising trackers. Visits are counted with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies, stores no personal data and can't follow a visitor from one day to the next. It also counts a few anonymous steps, such as finishing Robot Match, so we can see which pages help people.
- Some robots show a preview frame from their official YouTube video, which loads from YouTube (Google). The video player loads from youtube-nocookie.com only when you press play.
- Your theme choice is saved only in your own browser.
- When the newsletter launches, subscribers’ email addresses will be held by the email provider only to send it, with an unsubscribe link in every email.
Corrections, makers and contact
- Every figure links to its source. If a source is wrong or out of date, the record is corrected and the source updated.
- Every robot, machine and vehicle is checked against its maker's own published page: product page, spec sheet or the maker's newsroom. Where the maker and the press disagree, the maker's published figure wins. The date of the last check sits at the bottom of each product page, and checks repeat every six months.
- Makers can ask for a change from the bottom of any product page. A figure changes only once it appears on the maker's own site or newsroom, so a request on its own can never change a listing. Requests from the maker's own email domain are read first.
- A contact address for corrections, press and sponsorship is coming soon.
Terms of use
Last updated 13 October 2026. These terms are in plain words. By using Simbeing you agree to them; if you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. What Simbeing is
- Simbeing is a free, independent reference site about robots, the companies that make them, their chips and suppliers, and related public numbers. It is information for general interest and research.
- It is not advice. Nothing here is professional, financial, investment, legal, tax, career, safety, engineering or purchasing advice, or an offer, a recommendation or a promise. Prices, valuations, funding, shipments, forecasts and supplier figures are public information gathered for context. They are not a recommendation to buy or sell any security, and Simbeing is not a financial adviser.
- Tools such as Robot Match, Compare and "Can a robot replace me?" are guides built on published figures. They do not predict what will happen to any person, job, company or robot.
2. Accuracy and sources
- Every figure links to a public source, and we check robots against their makers' own pages, but sources can be wrong, out of date or incomplete, and some research uses AI tools to find and read public pages. We can't promise that anything on the site is accurate, complete or current.
- A reported customer, supplier link or deployment is what a company or a news source said. It is not proof of a contract, a delivery or a current relationship.
- Before you buy, build, invest, hire, plan a project or rely on a figure for anything that matters, check it with the maker or the original source.
- Safety. Don't use Simbeing to decide anything safety-critical, to certify or approve a product, or to show compliance with a standard or law.
3. Links and third parties
- We link to makers, institutions, news sites, videos and other sites. We don't control them, don't endorse them and aren't responsible for what they say or do.
- "Where to buy" links go to the maker's own page. Any purchase, quote or agreement is between you and that seller, not Simbeing.
- Simbeing is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any robot maker, supplier or chip company named on the site.
4. Photos, logos and trademarks
- Photos, logos, product names and trademarks belong to their owners. We show them only to identify a robot or company, under the licence or permission credited beside each one.
- If you own something on the site and want it changed, credited differently or removed, tell us (see Contact below) with the page address, what you own and what you want done. We act on requests promptly, and an image's owner can always have it replaced or removed.
5. Using and reusing our content
- You may read the site and quote short extracts or single figures, as long as you credit Simbeing and link back to the page. The "Copy with source" and share buttons are there for this.
- Simbeing's text, design, code and the way the data is compiled and organised belong to Simbeing. Please don't copy the site or its dataset in bulk, republish it, or sell it without written permission. Facts themselves, and other people's photos and trademarks, stay with their owners.
6. How you may use the site
- Don't break, overload or try to get around the site's security, scrape it in a way that slows it for others, pretend to be someone else, or use it to mislead people (for example by implying Simbeing endorses you, your company or your product).
- We may limit or block access if the site is misused. We may also change, pause or stop any part of Simbeing at any time.
7. What you send us
- Corrections, change requests and messages you send are yours, but you let us use them to correct and improve the site. Please don't send confidential or personal information you wouldn't want us to keep. We apply corrections only once a public source supports them.
8. No warranty
- Simbeing is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including about accuracy, completeness, availability, fitness for a purpose or that it is free of errors or interruptions.
9. Limit of liability
- To the fullest extent the law allows, Simbeing and the people behind it are not liable for any loss or damage arising from using, or being unable to use, the site or anything on it or linked from it. That includes lost money, profit, business or data, and indirect, special or consequential loss, even if we were told it was possible.
- If a court finds us liable despite this, our total liability is limited to CAD $100. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that can't legally be excluded, or takes away rights you have under consumer law where you live.
- You are responsible for how you use what you find here.
10. Newsletters, sponsors and paid products
- Simbeing is free to use today. If we later add a newsletter, sponsorships, ads or paid reports, they will be labelled, will never change listings or rankings, and any paid product will come with its own terms.
11. Changes, law and contact
- We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using the site after a change means you accept it.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and any dispute goes to the courts of Ontario, unless a law where you live says otherwise.
- If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- A contact address for corrections, takedown requests and legal notices is coming soon.
