Falco
autonomous ferry demonstration
A 1993 double-ended car ferry fitted with sensor fusion, AI object detection, collision avoidance and automatic berthing so it can make its crossing and dock on its own. A captain in Finferries' operations centre in Turku, about 50 km away, monitored the run and could take over; the return trip was remote-controlled.
