Why it matters
The lead-acid units delivered to HHLA Altenwerder in 2011 were described as the first battery-driven AGVs on the market.
Real-world use
HHLA's 116-unit Li-ion order for Burchardkai (deliveries 2022-2025) takes its Konecranes AGV fleet past 200, LBCT in Long Beach ran 72 and ordered 30 more in 2020, and ECT Euromax ordered 42 Li-ion AGVs in 2025.
