Why it matters

Won the Shell Ocean Discovery XPRIZE in 2018 as the GEBCO-NF team's mothership; SEA-KIT says its 2019 England-Belgium trip was the first commercial autonomous North Sea crossing.

Real-world use

In May 2019 it crossed from West Mersea to Ostend carrying oysters; in July 2020 it mapped about 1,000 square km of seafloor southwest of England on a 22-day uncrewed mission.
