Why it matters
Ran what Aptiv called the largest open-to-the-public paid robotaxi pilot, reaching 100,000 paid rides on the Lyft app by February 2020.
Real-world use
Started as a one-week CES demo in January 2018 and grew into a standing Lyft service in Las Vegas with about 30 cars, always with a safety driver; the work passed to Motional in 2020.
