Why it matters

Billed as the first quadruped rated to work from -20 C to 55 C; in February 2025 Changsha's fire service said it was the first locally made robot dog in operational fire-rescue use there.

Real-world use

Singapore Power uses one for cable-tunnel inspection (from January 2025); a Changsha fire and rescue team began operational use in February 2025.

What’s inside

The parts the company has talked about publicly.

Movement
Walks on legs
How it runs
Fully autonomous. It runs set inspection routes at industrial sites on its own and goes back to charge itself; it can also be driven by hand.
Actuators & motors
DEEP's own leg-joint modules (12 joints); the company sells its J-series joints separately
Sensors & vision
Fused perception that lets it navigate in darkness, glare and flicker; fire-rescue versions add harmful-gas detection and real-time 3D mapping
Battery & power
Quick-swap battery; endurance up 25% over the previous model when carrying payloads
Materials & build
IP67; rated -20 to 55 C
Other details
Ethernet, USB 2.0/3.0 and Wi-Fi interfaces with 5/12/24 V and 72 V battery power outputs for payloads; climbs 45-degree industrial stairs
